In no particular order…George got his box of red sox, and the first thing he said was, “Dat red gloves?” Secondly, he asked to wear not one pair but two.

Shortly after opening these socks, he came upon a giant candy cane sent by Nanny June.

It was so sticky, I told him he had to eat it in the kitchen, which he was fine with. Much later, I went to ask if he would like to put his candy cane down and rejoin the gift opening. He said no.

Della got many things, most of them princess things.

Also this very stylish tricycle cruiser that sets back the balance bike movement about 50 years.

Have you seen George’s haircut?

A cut only a mother could love, and it’s true, I absolutely love it.

Now where were we. You may not have known that there was a school caroling event some days back. That was Christmasy.

This was also Christmasy:

Hey now, who took that picture? Nanny Rose! She was in town.

But back to Christmas. Della got Band-Aids.

I got a fish-eye camera lens.

The kids got a disco ball, and Steve got a new jam box, and we tried them out, repeatedly.

Della liked Christmas and asked if Santa was coming again tonight. She also asked, when is it going to be Christmas? Because we don’t have any snow.

If only serious Steve would let loose and have a little fun now and again.

If you think it’s annoying seeing kids staring at screens, wait ’til they are all walking around with their heads inside virtual reality boxes.

This was Christmas Eve at the Andersons before the grown-ups sat down to eat traditional Christmas Eve lobsters. George looks like he is praying, but I think he is mashing up his macaroni and cheese to the desired consistency.

I leave you with a few Christmas card outtakes and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2016.
